δαεγω

δαεγω
δαεγω
Grammatical information: interj.
Meaning: οἶδα, ἐπίσταμαι H.
Origin: GR [a formation built with Greek elements]
Etymology: Latte and Pearson read δαείω, acc. to DELG a subjunctive, for which I see no support. Or one connects NGr. (Cappadocian) δαγώ `I know' (Kretschmer Glotta 12, 215) from οἶδα ἐγώ (Schwyzer 769 n. 1); the latter more probable.
